well, well, well.....
it's been a yr since i last wrote in here... well, almost.. hahahaha..
nothin new happened.. not dat i can tink of.. but, it is RAINING here in dubz.. yes.. raindrops fallin fm e sky.. i mean, it's rained b4 but not like yday/today... e streets are wet.. n i had fun walkin in e rain yday evenin to get my passport pictures taken.. ( dey only do 12pieces here.. n i juz needed like 2, or at most, 4.. like in sinz.. but noooo... wat e hell am i gonna do wit a dozen pics of my fat face smilin back?!?) it's winter now, but i dun recall it rainin so much fer e previous years i've been here.. which is comin to 3.. in like 11days.. =) time flies huh?but neways, i wuz talkin abt e winter n rain.. n it's been so gloomy lately dat it really makes me go into e i-can't-be-bothered mood.. n i juz wanna spend e whole day under e duvet.. perhaps, i've got really strong hibernation DNA in me.. but seriously, i called sick fer my flgt yday n i'm so gonna call sick again fer my lagos, nigeria tmr.. not dat i'm really sick of coz.. hehehe.. there's juz too many factors to make me resort to dat besides e weather.. my visa's expirin at e end of e mth so i hafta get it renewed or end up bein an illegal immigrant here.. of all places.. BUT, it takes 3 workin days to get it done, which in my opinion is a bloody hassle n a waste of time, so i wun be able to make it fer my flgt.. dun even get me started on e painful process juz to go abt gettin evrythin renewed..i tink i'm gonna dedicate dis next paragraph on e whole process.. skip to e next if u ain't got e time... =)
well, first of all, u've got to personally submit yr passport n visa copy plus 2 photos at e employee svces ctr, juz to get an appointment to get yr blood test done.. n mind you, dis said employee svce ctr is not juz down e road.. i hafta make my way down to e other side of dis bloody place, fight e traffic n all n pray hard dat i even get a cab.. e last time i went there, it took almost 2hrs juz to get back hm.. so, after at least 5days, u hafta bring yrself back to e same place, to submit yr original passport plus 2 more photos n wait anotha 3bloody working days before u can collect evrythin.. n pls come in e afternoon, when e traffic is e 'best', n wait fer eternity while e counters take ages to serve u.. i mean, c'mon!!! why can't u juz simplify e whole torture?? there's so many ways i can tink of to cut down e whole process n it simply annoys me dat i hafta call sick coz i dun haf my bloody passport to go to werk.. okie, it's my fault i din do it on my days off, but even if i did stay in dubz den, it'd be a weekend where these ppl dun go to werk.. or a holiday of some sort.. juz like today.. all roads are closed juz coz bush is in town.. but i shall touch on dat in a while.. so yeah, now, i'll hafta call sick again tmr but really, who gives a hoot? i've made up my mind to leave dis god-forsaken place after e bonus, which is in june.. so i dun quite care anymore..well, yep, as i mentioned, all e roads, tunnels, bridges are closed fer today.. fm 5am-5pm.. juz coz bloody bush is in town.. big fuckin deal if u were to ask me.. fair enuf, it's an arab ctry n there's no harm in bein paranoid, but if u're so scared, den dun come!!! e place is like a ghost town.. n bear in mind, i stay along sheikh zayed rd, which is like e most major road a rd can be ard here.. so it's pretty amazin not to see any cars whizz by or in a weird way, e bad traffic.. it's like so surreal.. probly dat's y it rained so much e whole day.. it's an omen.. hmmmm....
